Privacy Policy: General – For Site Content Not Directed Towards Children

Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website, how we use it, and your choices. It is designed to comply with the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and other applicable U.S. and international privacy laws.

1. What Information We Collect

We may collect two types of information:

Information you give us directly — for example, if you fill out a contact form, submit a request, or sign up for a newsletter, we will collect what you provide (such as your name and email address).

Information collected automatically — like most websites, ours may automatically collect basic technical information when you visit, such as:

  • Your IP address and general location

  • Browser type and device information

  • Pages you visit and how long you spend on them

  • How you arrived at our site (e.g., a search engine or a link)

This automatic data is typically collected through cookies and similar tools (see Section 5).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your messages or requests

  • Improve and maintain the website

  • Understand how people use our site so we can make it better

  • Send updates or newsletters, if you have opted in

  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information. Ever.

3. How We Share Your Information

We only share your information in limited circumstances:

  • With service providers who help us run the site (like hosting or analytics services or the services involved to respond to you).

  • If required by law, such as in response to a valid legal request or court order.

  • To protect the rights or safety of Genai & I Productions or others.

Genai & I Productions is not gathering your information to sell or share with advertisers; however, please understand that certain third parties, such as through embedded links (e.g. YouTube) or involved with hosting our website (e.g. GoDaddy, Wix, or Google) may have different privacy policies and terms that may impact your data when using our website, so please be sure to know and understand how they may use your information, too.

4. Children’s Privacy — COPPA, GDPR-K, and International Protections

The protection of children online is a top priority for Genai & I Productions. We comply with the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA, 15 U.S.C. § 6501 et seq.), the GDPR provisions applicable to minors (GDPR-K), the UK Age Appropriate Design Code, and other applicable international laws protecting minors online.

Age Restrictions

Most content on our website is not directed to children under the age of 13 in the United States, or under the applicable age of digital consent in other jurisdictions (which may be up to 16 years old under the GDPR depending on the member state). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below these age thresholds without verifiable parental or guardian consent. If you are here to view content directed to children, please see our privacy policy specifically related to that website content.

No Knowing Collection Without Parental Consent

If we discover that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child without appropriate consent, we will delete that information promptly. We do not condition a child’s participation in activities on the collection of more personal information than is reasonably necessary.

Parental Rights

Parents and legal guardians have the right to:

  • Review any personal information we may have collected from their child.

  • Request that we delete their child’s personal information.

  • Refuse to allow further collection or use of their child’s information.

  • Consent to the collection and use of their child’s information without consenting to its disclosure to third parties.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us through our website’s contact page. We will verify your identity as the parent or guardian before taking action, and will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

Safe Content Environment

We are committed to providing a safe and appropriate online environment. We do not permit the display of content that exploits, harms, or targets minors, and we take reports of inappropriate content involving children seriously. If you become aware of content on our site that may endanger or exploit a child, please contact us immediately and, if appropriate, report it to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) at CyberTipline.org or your national authority.

International Age-of-Consent Compliance

For users in the European Union, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and other jurisdictions with specific protections for minors online, we apply the higher standard of protection required by local law. Users in the EU and UK who are under the applicable age of digital consent must obtain parental or guardian consent before providing any personal information. Where required, we implement age verification or age-appropriate design measures.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Cookies are small text files placed on a device when visiting a website. Because our site includes child-directed content, we apply heightened restrictions on the use of tracking technologies:

  • We do not use cookies or tracking technologies to build behavioral profiles.

  • We do not use persistent identifiers to track individuals across third-party websites or online services over time.

  • We do not serve behavioral or targeted advertising to visitors.

  • Any cookies we use are limited to those strictly necessary for the site to function (e.g., session management, security, and remembering language preferences) and those used for analytics as described in Section 8 below, configured to minimize data collection.

Please be aware that third-party services embedded on our site (including YouTube and Google Analytics, described below) may place their own cookies on your device. We describe those cookies and how to control them in Section 8.

You may disable or delete cookies through your browser settings, or use browser extensions that block third-party cookies. Doing so may affect some features — including the ability to view embedded videos — but will not prevent access to the site.

6. Third-Party Services — YouTube, GoDaddy, Wix, and Google Analytics

Because our site includes content of interest to children and because we want to ensure you understand how your data may be used by visiting our site, we are transparent about every third-party service that may collect data when you visit our website. Below is a full description of each service we use, what data it may collect, and how you can limit that collection.

A. Domain Registration and DNS — GoDaddy

Our domain name is registered through GoDaddy, Inc. (GoDaddy.com, LLC), 14455 N. Hayden Road, Scottsdale, Arizona 85260. GoDaddy serves as our domain registrar and DNS provider, meaning it manages the routing of our domain name to our website. Our website itself is hosted and operated on the Wix platform (see Section B below). In its role as domain registrar and DNS provider, GoDaddy may process limited technical data, which may include:

  • IP addresses and device information (for server security, traffic routing, and spam/abuse prevention)

  • Server log data (pages requested, time of access, referring URLs)

  • Data you submit through any web forms hosted on our site

GoDaddy acts in a limited capacity as our domain registrar and DNS provider. GoDaddy maintains its own privacy policy, which can be reviewed at godaddy.com/legal/agreements/privacy-policy. GoDaddy is a U.S.-based company, and any data it processes in this capacity may be stored on servers located in the United States. GoDaddy does not host our website content or process visitor data submitted through our site’s forms or features — those functions are handled by Wix (see Section B below).

GoDaddy Analytics

Because our website content is hosted on Wix (see Section B below) and not directly on GoDaddy’s servers, GoDaddy’s built-in analytics tools do not apply to our site. Any analytics related to website traffic and visitor behavior are managed through Wix and Google Analytics, as described in Sections B and C below.

B. Website Hosting and Platform — Wix

Our website is built and hosted on the Wix platform, operated by Wix.com Ltd., 40 Namal Tel Aviv Street, Tel Aviv 6350671, Israel, and its U.S. affiliate Wix.com Inc., 500 Terry A. François Blvd., San Francisco, CA 94158. Our domain name is registered through GoDaddy and points to this Wix-hosted site. As the platform and hosting provider, Wix processes personal data as a necessary part of delivering our website to you. This may include:

  • IP addresses and device information (for content delivery, security, and traffic routing)

  • Server log data (pages requested, time of access, browser type, referring URLs)

  • Data you submit through forms, contact pages, or other interactive features on our site

  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies placed by Wix to support site functionality and analytics

Wix acts as a data processor on our behalf for website hosting and platform services. Wix is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and complies with GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable privacy laws. Wix’s servers may be located in the United States or other countries. Wix maintains its own privacy policy, which can be reviewed at support.wix.com/en/article/privacy-policy. We configure our Wix site in a manner consistent with our obligations under COPPA and applicable children’s privacy law, including disabling Wix’s advertising and marketing data features.

Wix Analytics

Wix provides built-in website analytics tools that may collect aggregate, non-personally-identifying statistics about how visitors use our site (such as page views, session duration, and general traffic patterns). We configure these tools to minimize data collection and to avoid collecting personal information from children. Wix’s analytics data is governed by Wix’s Privacy Policy.

C. Website Analytics — Google Analytics

We may use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC (“Google”), 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Google Analytics helps us understand how visitors use our website so we can improve it. Because our site includes content directed at children, we have taken the following specific steps to configure Google Analytics in a COPPA-compliant manner:

  • IP anonymization is enabled — the last portion of each visitor’s IP address is masked before storage, so no full IP address is retained by Google.

  • Advertising features and remarketing are disabled — we do not use Google Analytics to serve ads or build advertising audiences.

  • Data sharing with Google’s advertising products is disabled.

  • User ID tracking is not used on child-directed pages.

  • Google Signals is disabled, preventing cross-device tracking of children.

  • Data retention in Google Analytics is set to the minimum available period.

Even with these configurations, Google Analytics places cookies on your device to distinguish visitors and track sessions. The primary cookies used by Google Analytics include:

  • _ga — Used to distinguish users. Expires after 2 years.

  • _gid — Used to distinguish users. Expires after 24 hours.

  • _gat — Used to throttle request rate. Expires after 1 minute.

Google Analytics data collected through our site is processed by Google in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy) and Google’s data processing terms. Google may transfer data to servers located in the United States or other countries. Google is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework for transatlantic data transfers.

People who wish to prevent Google Analytics from collecting data about their visits may install the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on, available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, or disable cookies in their browser settings.

Important note regarding child-directed content: We will ensure that our representations to Google, as required by Google’s policies for child-directed content, make clear that content on our site is directed at children under 13. This designation restricts how Google may use any data collected through our site and requires Google to treat such data in accordance with COPPA.

D. Embedded Video Content — YouTube

Our website may include video content embedded from YouTube, a platform owned by Google LLC. We are committed to protecting children’s privacy in connection with all embedded YouTube content and have implemented the following safeguards:

YouTube Privacy-Enhanced Mode (youtube-nocookie.com)

All YouTube videos embedded on our site use YouTube’s Privacy-Enhanced Mode (also called “no-cookie embed” mode), which loads videos from youtube-nocookie.com instead of youtube.com. Under Privacy-Enhanced Mode:

  • YouTube does not place cookies on your device until you actively click to play a video.

  • YouTube does not use embedded video views to personalize YouTube’s ad recommendations to the viewer.

  • Viewing activity on our embedded videos is not used to build a profile of the child viewer for advertising purposes.

What YouTube May Still Collect

Even with Privacy-Enhanced Mode, if a visitor clicks to play an embedded video, YouTube may collect certain technical data, including:

  • IP address (for content delivery and geographic rights management)

  • Device and browser information

  • Viewing interactions (play, pause, watch duration)

  • A unique session or device identifier

If you are logged into a Google or YouTube account when you visit our site and play a video, YouTube may associate that viewing activity with your account. We strongly recommend that parents ensure children are not logged into Google or YouTube accounts when using our site, or that they use a browser profile without Google sign-in.

YouTube’s COPPA Compliance

YouTube’s content embedded on child-directed sites is subject to YouTube’s policies for Made for Kids content and the requirements of COPPA. YouTube is independently responsible for its own compliance with applicable law in connection with data it collects. YouTube’s privacy practices are governed by Google’s Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

Parental Controls for YouTube

Parents who wish to prevent all YouTube data collection when their child uses our site may:

  • Block third-party cookies in their browser settings (this will prevent YouTube cookies from being set even when a video is played).

  • Use a browser extension to block YouTube embeds (such as uBlock Origin or Privacy Badger).

  • Ensure their child is not signed into any Google account while browsing our site.

  • Consider using YouTube Kids (youtube.com/kids) as a supervised alternative for YouTube content.

We only embed YouTube videos that contain content appropriate for children. We do not enable YouTube’s autoplay function, and we do not embed videos that display advertising directed at children.

Privacy Policy for Child-directed Content

This Privacy Policy is written for parents, guardians, and caregivers of children who use the Genai & I Productions website. Because our website contains content directed at children under the age of 13, this policy is designed to fully comply with the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA, 15 U.S.C. § 6501 et seq.) and its implementing regulations (16 C.F.R. Part 312), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Age-Appropriate Design Code Act (CAADCA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as applied to minors, the UK Age Appropriate Design Code (Children’s Code), Canada’s PIPEDA and provincial privacy laws, and other applicable U.S. and international laws protecting children online.

WE DO NOT COLLECT PERSONAL INFORMATION FROM CHILDREN UNDER 13 WITHOUT VERIFIED PARENTAL CONSENT. Please read this policy carefully. If you have questions, please contact us before allowing your child to use this site.

1.    Some Content on this Website May Be Directed at Children

Genai & I Productions is a website that contains content that may be appealing to children under 13; thus, it could be considered a child-directed website. Only certain content is designed to appeal to and engage children under the age of 13. Because of this, COPPA’s strictest requirements apply to everything we do with children’s personal information — and we take those obligations seriously.

If you are a child: Please ask a parent or guardian to read this page and help you use our website. You should never share your name, address, phone number, school, or any other personal information online without your parent’s or guardian’s permission.

2. What Information We Collect from Children

We limit what we collect from children to the minimum necessary to operate the site and provide our services. We may collect:

Information children provide directly — only if a feature requires it (such as submitting a question or participating in an activity), and only after obtaining verifiable parental consent as described in Section 3. This may include a first name and an email address belonging to a parent or guardian.

Information collected automatically — when a child visits our site, certain technical data may be collected automatically, including:

  • IP address (used only to operate the site and for security; not used to build a profile of the child)

  • Browser type and operating system

  • Pages visited and time spent on the site

  • Referring URL (how the visitor arrived at our site)

We do not collect a child’s full name, home address, phone number, geolocation data, photos, videos, audio files, screen name, or any persistent identifier that could be used to recognize the child across websites or over time without first obtaining verifiable parental consent.

We do not collect any information beyond what is needed for the child to participate in the specific activity or feature requested.

3. Verifiable Parental Consent

Before collecting any personal information from a child under 13 beyond what is described as “automatically collected” above, we will obtain verifiable parental consent (VPC) as required by COPPA. We will notify parents directly about our information practices and obtain their consent through one of the following methods:

  • A signed consent form submitted by mail, fax, or electronic means

  • A credit or debit card transaction (not for purchase, but for identity verification)

  • A toll-free phone number or video conference staffed by trained personnel

  • Email with additional verification steps, where permitted by applicable law

We will not require a child to provide more personal information than is reasonably necessary to participate in an activity as a condition of use.

Exception for Internal Operations

We may collect a child’s IP address and similar technical data without parental consent solely to support the internal operations of the website (e.g., to maintain security, prevent fraud, and ensure the site functions). This data is not used for any other purpose, is not combined with personal information, and is not used to contact the child or build a behavioral profile.

4. How We Use Children’s Information

We use information collected from or about children only to:

  • Provide the specific feature or activity the child is participating in

  • Communicate with parents or guardians about the child’s use of the site

  • Maintain the security and proper functioning of the website

  • Comply with legal obligations

We do NOT use children’s information to:

  • Build behavioral profiles or track children across websites or apps over time

  • Serve targeted, interest-based, or behavioral advertising to children

  • Sell, rent, or otherwise disclose children’s personal information for commercial purposes

  • Contact children directly without parental permission

  • Condition participation on disclosing more information than is necessary

5. How We Share Children’s Information

We do not sell children’s personal information. We do not share it with advertisers or marketing companies. We share children’s information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • With trusted service providers (such as website hosting services) who assist us in operating the site and are obligated to keep children’s data confidential, use it only as directed by us, and comply with COPPA.

  • If required by law, court order, or government authority.

  • To protect the safety, security, or legal rights of children, users, or Genai & I Productions, including reporting to law enforcement or child protection authorities when required.

Genai & I Productions will ensure that any third-party service providers we engage who handle children’s data on our behalf shall be contractually prohibited from using that data for any purpose other than providing services to us.

6. Parental Rights Under COPPA and Applicable Law

As a parent or guardian, you have significant rights regarding your child’s personal information. You may, at any time:

  • Review the personal information we have collected from your child.

  • Request that we correct any inaccurate information about your child.

  • Request that we delete your child’s personal information from our records.

  • Refuse to allow further collection or use of your child’s information.

  • Consent to our collection and use of your child’s information while refusing to allow us to disclose it to third parties (except as required by law).

  • Withdraw consent previously given at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of any prior collection.

How to Exercise Parental Rights

To review, correct, or delete your child’s information, or to withdraw consent, please contact us through our website’s contact page. We will ask you to verify your identity as the child’s parent or legal guardian before taking any action. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (generally within 30 days, or as required by COPPA).

Please note: If you ask us to delete your child’s information, we may no longer be able to provide certain features or activities to your child on our site.

EU, UK, and International Parental Rights

Parents and guardians of children in the European Union, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and other jurisdictions with enhanced children’s privacy protections hold equivalent or greater rights under applicable local law, including GDPR Article 8 (consent for information society services for children), the UK Children’s Code, and PIPEDA. We will honor these rights and apply the higher standard of protection required by applicable local law.

7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Cookies are small text files placed on a device when visiting a website. Because our site is child-directed, we apply heightened restrictions on the use of tracking technologies:

  • We do not use cookies or tracking technologies to build behavioral profiles of children.

  • We do not use persistent identifiers to track children across third-party websites or online services over time.

  • We do not serve behavioral or targeted advertising to children.

Parents may disable or delete cookies through their browser k use browser extensions that block third-party cookies. Doing so may affect some features — including the ability to view embedded videos — but will not prevent access to the site.

8. Third-Party Services — YouTube, GoDaddy, Wix, and Google Analytics

Because our site contains content directed at children, we are required to be transparent about every third-party service that may collect data when your child visits our website.

As the platform and hosting provider, Wix processes personal data as a necessary part of delivering our website to your child. This may include:

  • IP addresses and device information (for content delivery, security, and traffic routing)

  • Server log data (pages requested, time of access, browser type, referring URLs)

  • Data your child submits through forms, contact pages, or other interactive features on our site

  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies placed by Wix to support site functionality and analytics

Wix acts as a data processor on our behalf for website hosting and platform services. Wix is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and complies with GDPR, CCPA, COPPA, and other applicable privacy laws. Wix’s servers may be located in the United States or other countries. Wix maintains its own privacy policy, which can be reviewed at support.wix.com/en/article/privacy-policy. We configure our Wix site to disable advertising and marketing data features and to minimize collection of children’s personal information consistent with our COPPA obligations.

Because our site includes content directed at children, we will ensure the following specific steps have been taken to configure Google Analytics in a COPPA-compliant manner:

Parents who wish to prevent Google Analytics from collecting data about their child’s visits may install the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on, available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, or disable cookies in their browser settings.

All YouTube videos embedded on our site will use YouTube’s Privacy-Enhanced Mode (also called “no-cookie embed” mode), which loads videos from youtube-nocookie.com instead of youtube.com.

If a child or parent is logged into a Google or YouTube account when they visit our site and play a video, YouTube may associate that viewing activity with their account.

We will only embed YouTube videos that contain content appropriate for children. We do not enable YouTube’s autoplay function, and we do not embed videos that display advertising directed at children.
